How do I connect a Presspage instance to Scompler?

A Presspage instance can be easily connected to Scompler – learn how to do it here.

To connect Scompler to Presspage, we first need an API token from your Presspage instance. To do this, log in to Presspage and proceed as follows:

  1. Click on your profile picture in the top right corner and then on “Account Settings” in the drop-down menu.
  2. Select “Advanced” on the left.
  3. Click on “Create API token.”

Note: The token will only be displayed in full this one time. Make sure you save it in a secure location. You can create a new token at any time, but this will invalidate the old one.

Now switch to Scompler and go to your project settings. You can access these by clicking on the project name in the top left corner under your project logo, selecting “Project settings” in the menu that appears, and then clicking on the “Integrations” tab. From here, you can connect Presspage in five easy steps:

  1. Scroll down until you reach the “Presspage” section.
  2. Click on the “Create” button.
  3. Enter a name for the connection in the pop-up window.
  4. Copy the previously created Presspage token into the field provided.
  5. Click on “Create.”

KB_Presspage_en_2The connection is now complete.

Note:

Please note that you can only connect your Presspage instance to one Scompler project at a time. It is not possible to use the same Presspage account in multiple Scompler projects.

Create a Presspage content type

To use Presspage via Scompler in the future, you must first create a special content type:

  1. In the left navigation menu, click on “Strategy,” then “Content Types,” and then “New Content Type” in the upper right corner.
  2. Give the content type an icon, a name, and a color.
  3. Select “Presspage” in the settings further down.
  4. Click “Create.”

KB_Presspage_en_3Now you can create and schedule Presspage posts in Scompler as usual – either via the “Add New” menu in the top Scompler bar, via the topic architecture, or in the content area.

Note:

Please note that it is not possible to publish from Scompler – the article is only sent as a draft to Presspage, where it can then be edited if necessary and subsequently published.

Please also note that subsequent changes to the draft in Presspage are not synchronized with the article in Scompler.
