How to work with Scompler AI

The Scompler AI Assistant is an add-on feature for all PRO projects. It is not only a versatile writing assistant, but can also generate story and article ideas. Here you can learn how to get the most out of it.

Important: Before you can use the assistant, you must activate the feature for the desired user groups. To do this, go to the “Users” tab in the project settings and click on a user group in the ‘Groups’ area. Here, locate the “Third-party integrations” area and activate the “AI Assistant” option.

Then approve the data processing in the project settings in the “Settings” tab under AI Assistant by checking the corresponding box and confirming by clicking “Save”.

Once activated, the Scompler AI assistant is available to you in all topic, story, and article cards.

Generating stories for a topic

Generate strategy-oriented story suggestions for a specific topic and transform them into story objects with a single click.

Factors considered by the AI:

Topic metadata and parameters (name, descriptions, timeframe, personas, content models, selected strategy parameters, attachments, parent category and topic, existing stories) as well as the complete strategy tree, available personas, content models, and channels.

The assistant aims to fill gaps in the existing story collection and contribute to the topic goal.

Procedure:

First, open the topic card you want to work with. 

1. Click on the “AI” button to open the Scompler AI assistant.
2. Start the process by clicking on the “Generate Story Ideas” button, or
3. Open the menu and start the story generation there.
4. If you have specific ideas that you want the assistant to meet, enter them in the text field.

Unless otherwise instructed, the AI will generate seven suggestions and may ask for missing context, which can be added via the text field.

Generating articles for a story

Generate article ideas that are tailored to a specific story and already filled with metadata.

Factors considered by the AI:

Story metadata and parameters (name, descriptions, timeframe, personas, content models, selected strategy parameters, attachments, parent topic and category, existing articles) as well as the complete strategy parameter tree, available content types, channels, personas, and content models.

Procedure:

First, open the story card you want to work with. 

1. Click on the “AI” button to open the Scompler AI assistant.
2. Start the process by clicking on the “Generate Article Ideas” button, or
3. Open the menu and start generating posts there.
4. If you have specific ideas that you want the assistant to meet, enter them in the text field.

Unless otherwise instructed, the AI will generate seven suggestions here as well and may ask for missing context, which can also be added via the text field.

Generating or improving article copy

Save yourself the trouble of developing high-quality content from scratch or laboriously revising a draft.

Factors considered by the AI: Article fields (name, description, text), attachments, channel, selected strategy options, personas, content models, story context, content type, top performers for the respective content type, and language preferences from custom writing styles.

Procedure:

First, open the article card you want to work with. 

1. Click on the “AI” button to open the Scompler AI assistant.
2. Select the desired writing style (normal, concise, or formal).
3. Start the process by clicking the “Generate or Improve Article Copy” button, or
4. Open the menu and start text generation/improvement there.
5. If you have specific requirements that you would like the assistant to meet, enter them in the text field.

If no source text is available, the assistant may ask for additional context and, unless otherwise instructed, generate three post suggestions. If an article text is already available, it can be revised by the AI in parts or in its entirety according to your specifications.

Creating custom writing styles

First, open the writing style menu and select “Manage styles,” and then “Add style.”

1. Give the writing style a name.
2. Turn the advanced features on or off.
3. Describe the style you want the Scompler AI assistant to use as precisely as possible. You can also copy a text sample into the field – the assistant will analyse the writing style. Alternatively, you can upload a text file or PDF document containing text in the desired style, or select an existing Scompler post. In both cases, the AI will analyse the writing style in order to imitate it later.
4. Click “Create” to save the style and make it available in the menu.

Using the AI assistant in the text editor

In addition to generating stories, articles, and article texts, the Scompler AI Assistant also supports you in the text editor itself:
