How do I archive a workflow?

Archiving old workflows helps you to keep current workflows up to date, preventing misunderstandings or errors in planning and content creation. Plus, archived workflows can easily be restored.

 

NOTE FOR ADMINISTRATORS: For you or your team members to archive workflows, make sure the following option is enabled under Project Settings>User:

Go to Workflow in the Strategy area. Hover over the desired workflow until you see the options on the right. Click the “Archive” button to archive the workflow. Read the information in the pop-up window and click “Confirm” to archive the workflow.

EN_02_Abfrage ArchivierungArchived workflows are displayed below your active workflows and can be reactivated or permanently deleted by clicking on the corresponding icon on the right. If an archived workflow is reactivated, you'll need to relink the previously assigned content types, but user assignments for overwrite rights will remain intact.


Archived workflows are displayed as follows in the workflow tab of the article card:EN_03_Workflow archiviert im Workflow-Tab

NOTE: Any new articles of content types previously linked to the archived workflow will be assigned to the standard workflow.
