How can I set up two-factor authentication in Scompler?

Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your Scompler account, ensuring that only you can access your account.

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is proof of identity through the combination of two different and, most importantly, independent components (factors). If one component is missing or used incorrectly, access authorisation cannot be established and access is denied. In this way, you protect your Scompler account and prevent strangers from misusing your account.

ATTENTION: Before you can register for two-factor authentication, it must be activated in your project. You can get more information in this article. Moreover, to proceed with two-factor authentication, you must have Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator installed on your mobile phone.

Activating Two-Factor Authentication in the Project

To activate two-factor authentication in Scompler, go to the project settings and activate the option "Two-factor authentication" in the "Users" tab.

Note: Please note that this setting will affect all users in your project and will be implemented automatically the next time users log into your project.

Once the function is activated in your project, the process for configuring two-factor authentication is started the next time each user logs into Scompler with their email address and password. Click here to find out how to register for the procedure for the first time.

Note for administrators: Define who is allowed to manage two-factor authentication by enabling the option in the desired user groups.
