How can I integrate my Social Media Channels in Scompler?

Integrate your social media channels into Scompler to publish directly from your project, and import already published content and social signals.

You can integrate your social media channels directly into Scompler. This way you can import already published content from your channels, and publish articles created in Scompler directly. You also get social signals of these articles.

Connect your social media channels

1. Click on your project name above the main menu on the left and select "Project settings"

2. Select the "Integrations" tab

3. To integrate channels directly, select the button of the channel you want to integrate and follow the instructions. The channels available to you here depend on your licence package

ATTENTION: Other social networks/channels can only be connected indirectly. Posting from Scompler to these channels or importing published posts is NOT possible on these channels. The connection is only for a better display of the preview of your planned articles as well as a better evaluation of your planning. To publish, please log in to the respective network and create your post there directly.

Example Facebook:

Click on the "connect" button under the Facebook logo and you will be directed to an external page. Now, log into Facebook (if you are not already actively logged in) and authorise the connection to Scompler. In the next step, you will see a list of the personal profiles, pages and groups associated with your Facebook account. Select the profile, page or group you want to connect with here.

Select whether you want to import existing and future posts from this account into Scompler. Also, determine whether you want to allow publications directly from Scompler on this channel. If you activate the "Read only" function, no direct publications from Scompler will be possible.

Heads-up: Logging in is only necessary to grant the corresponding authorisations, which are then managed via a token. Information on the login used (user name and/or password) is not stored and may have to be re-entered when changing or updating a connection.

Direct publications in personal profiles are not possible due to a restriction by Facebook.

NOTE: If your desired page or group is not displayed, the admin of the page or group must give your account the rights to access:

FB_Zugriffsrechte_EN

Example Instagram:

Select Instagram "Connect" and you will be redirected to an external page. Log in to your Instagram Business account (if you are not already logged in) and click "Login with Facebook" in Scompler.

Heads-up: Make sure this is the business account and not a personal account, as publishing from Scompler is only available for business accounts (linked to a Facebook page).

For more information on creating an Instagram Business account, visit this page: https://business.instagram.com/getting-started/#get-a-business-profile. Do you want to switch from a private IG account to a business account? Then this information is important for you: https://www.facebook.com/help/502981923235522.

First, you will see the name of the page you want to integrate. Select if you want to import existing and future publications from this account into Scompler and if it is a Business account. Then authorize the connection with Scompler by clicking "Next".

IG integration

Once you have completed the connection, the connected channel will be listed in the overview under "Integrations". If your Instagram Business account is not yet connected to a Facebook page, connect a Facebook page to use the full features. Repeat this process as many times as necessary to connect all the channels you want.

How to use the “Add others” option

You can also add other channels for semi-automated connection. For more details on how to do this, read here: https://kb.scompler.com/de/knowledge/semi-automatic-and-manual-publishing

Available direct connections in the different licence packages:

From Scompler ONE, you can choose between Facebook and Twitter for a direct connection.

From ONE+, you can also connect LinkedIn, YouTube and Instagram directly to Scompler. Please note that you cannot publish to Instagram directly from Scompler. We offer the option of sending your post via email to a mobile device, on which you can then publish accordingly.
