Using Scompler AI to Optimize Your Topic Architecture

Scompler AI helps you analyze your existing Topic Architecture to identify structural weaknesses, uncovered strategic areas, and opportunities for improvement. Based on your existing categories, topics, and available strategic context, the AI generates a structured gap analysis and suggests additional categories and topics to strengthen your communication planning. The result is a clearer, more strategically aligned Topic Architecture that provides a stronger foundation for future stories and articles.

Prerequisites:

  • You are using the Scompler PRO package
  • You have activated Scompler AI
  • You have AI credits available
  • Your user group has Scompler AI permission enabled

Optimize Your Topic Architecture with Scompler AI

  1. Navigate to Topics.
  2. Click Scompler AI.
    Scompler AI opens.
  3. Click Find gaps in my Categories & Topics.
    The analysis of your topic architecture starts. To close identified gaps, the AI might ask you to provide specific information via the chat.
  4. Click Suggested Changes, once the analysis is done.
    The suggested changes display in preview mode.
  5. Review the suggestions and, if needed, deactivate selected suggestions via the checkbox.
  6. Click Save.
    Scompler AI creates the new categories and topics in your project.

        You have optimized your Topic Architecture using Scompler AI. The updated structure is available under Topics.

         

        Factors Considered During Topic Architecture Analysis

        Scompler AI evaluates your Topic Architecture across multiple dimensions, including:

        • Category health: Are there empty or overloaded categories (too few/many topics)?
        • Topic health: Are there empty or overloaded topics (too few/many stories)?
        • Topic staleness: Are there topics without recent stories or articles? Are there topics with expired timeframes that haven't been archived?
        • Goal alignment: Are there topics supporting each of the goals defined in the strategy parameters?
        • Structural overlaps: Do any topics overlap significantly in audience or thematic scope?
        • Audience and Persona coverage: Are all defined personas represented in at least one topic? Are all audiences listed in the strategy parameters represented in at least one topic? Which personas and audiences are under-served?
        • Content stage and class balance: Are Content stages/classes balanced across Topics? Is there an overemphasis on a single stage (e.g., content that is primarily sales-focused)?
