How do I create customized views for my reports?

Using filters at both tab and widget levels, you can view specific data from your articles and stories in the Reports area and save them in the tab.

Customize tab filters and save views

To access the filters for the currently open tab, simply click on the "Filter" button at the top right. Here you will find various filters for timeframe, article, story, topic, category and strategy. Click on "Add filter" and add the relevant filter to your selection by ticking it.

To include imported articles in your selection, select the "Imported articles" option from the article filters.

The selected filters can either be removed completely by clicking on "Reset to default" in the filter menu or deselected individually. If a filter has not yet been saved in the view, a coloured floppy disk symbol will appear next to the tab name and the "Changed filters" button will appear at the top right.EN_2_Diskettensymbol

To save the current filter view, navigate to the button mentioned above and select "Save tab filter in project". You can find more information on saving and editing views in Scompler areas in this article.

NOTE: Articles without a deadline will not appear in the reports as they are filtered by timeframe.

Customize widget filter

In addition to the overarching filters in the tab, it can be useful to define individual widgets using additional filters. To activate widget filters, navigate to the three-dot menu at the top right of the widget and select "Edit widget". The widget window will now open with the available filters. Click on the arrow at the top right to display further filter options. The available filters depend on the widget type. Once the filters have been selected, click on "Save changes" at the bottom right and the filtered data will be displayed in the widget. Widget filters take precedence over tab filters.EN_04_Widget-Filter_GIF

To display details of the activated widget filter options, click on the filter icon next to the three-dot menu. If no filter is active that differs from those in the tab, no filter symbol is visible.

A coloured star symbol next to the filter option (1) indicates that the widget filters are different from the tab filter. The same symbol next to the tab filters (2) shows the number of widgets in the tab which have their own filters activated. This allows you to easily monitor whether and which displayed data is affected by a change in filters.EN_6_Sternesymbole
