Integrate channels for semi-automatic or manual publishing

You can integrate more channels in addition to fully integrated social media channels. This allows you to go directly to the respective posts' channels to publish to them directly.

Adding a Channel for Manual Publishing

You can add channels for which Scompler does not support automatic publishing.

To add a channel that supports automatic publishing, switch to this article.

Channels added as described below do not represent an active connection. This connection is intended solely for planning, displaying, and analyzing your planned posts. Importing posts to Scompler and publishing posts created in Scompler is not possible. The actual publication takes place on the network itself.

  1. Navigate to Project Settings > Channels.
  2. Click Add custom Channel.
The dialog to add a custom channel opens.
  3. In the Channel type dropdown menu, select the respective type.
  4. Enter the channel name.
  5. Enter the channel avatar URL. The avatar image must be available online and is displayed in the article when choosing the respective channel.
  6. Enter the profile URL.
  7. In the Notify of channel updates dropdown menu, choose individual users or user groups that should be notified when the channel connection needs to be updated.
  8. In the User groups with channel access dropdown menu, choose the user groups that can manage the channel. This field is only available in higher license packages and is useful for e.g. country-specific pages that should be managed by local colleagues. Learn more about this function.
  9. Click Create.

You have added a channel for manual publishing. You can now create posts for this channel, copy the created content and manually publish it to the respective channel.
