How do I set the topic view?

Set up the topic view correctly to find the information you need quickly and increase the efficiency of your daily work.

You can customise the topic view to display the topics, stories and articles of every category, as well as change the sorting mode of the topics, decide the inheritability of the team assignment and display promoted articles.

There are several options for customising the topic view. You can find them in the navigation bar above the topic tree:

The filter function: Click on this icon to show and hide the available filters that allow you to create different views. Read in this article how to create and save filtered views in your topic view.The funnel

The search function: Use this option to quickly find a topic, story or article. Before you enter the name, tick the option you want to search for. This will optimise your search.Search functionality

The import icon: Click on the import icon and import stories via Excel into Scompler with the name of the topic they belong to, description and period.The configuration wheel: A menu opens if you click on the configuration wheel. By clicking on the drop-down menu, you decide whether the elements are grouped by category or topic.

TIP: In the project settings on the “Settings” tab, you can use the “Topics” area on the right-hand side to set which view appears as the default page when you click on the “Topics” navigation area.EN_04_Standardansicht Einstellungen

 

Use the first toggle to display the number of topics, stories, articles and tasks in a summary line below the topic view.

The second toggle, “Integrated secondary objects”, allows you to integrate the secondary stories into the view or display them separately. Please note that this option blocks manual sorting.

The last option allows you to mark completed topics and stories as striked through.

Under “Advanced Settings”, you can customize which columns you want to display in the overview for categories, topics, stories, and articles.
